Med44 is a design studio started by Carlos J. Gómez de Llarena working in the fields of interaction design, technology, architecture and art. Our award-winning work and collaborations with clients, agencies and partners spans across media, screens, spaces and cities.
The interaction design practice covers a wide range of experience across web, mobile and other multichannel platforms.
Media architecture is the design of hybrid interactive and spatial experiences that shape social behavior as well as our perception of space.

Carlos J. Gómez de Llarena is a media architect working with physical and digital experiences which shape social interaction and our perception of space.
He does interaction design with devices, installations, video, sound, wireless networks, the web and programming. His work has been shown at Ars Electronica, Eyebeam, Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas, ZKM and ResFest, among others. His background is in architecture, video and interactive media. In 2003 he received an Ars Electronica Golden Nica award for one of his wireless projects, Node Runner.
He currently lives in New York, where he works as an artist and freelance interaction designer.
