Urban Forms 2013

A stylized version of Google Maps made to highlight urban forms. It allows users to search, explore and compare global urbanization patterns.

Urban form is a type of map that looks at patterns and shapes of human settlement. These mostly observe physical relationship of fills (buildings) and voids (streets, plazas, parks or other open spaces) and how these ultimately shape the urban experience.

This is a self-initiated project intended for architecture, urban studies or cartography fans. ipsum.
